Our Story
Tentatik was founded by Angelini and Yudha in Bali, Indonesia, in 2015. While working in Eastern Indonesia, we found many beautiful Indonesian heritage fabrics (Batik and Tenun/IKAT).
We were dissatisfied, knowing that many long-standing historical patterns had gone extinct due to a lack of regeneration and unfair compensation in this creative industry. Besides, finding Batik and Tenun/IKAT made from natural colours becomes more difficult.
We took it upon ourselves to provide fashion accessories made from the original and sustainable Batik and Tenun/IKAT Indonesia. Our ultimate goal is to replace the chemical Batik and Tenun/IKAT in the market with fair and sustainable ones which suit 21st-century urban lifestyles. We have yet to arrive, but we are proud of the alternatives we already offer our customers.
